Telin Wins Project of the Year in Asia Communication Awards 2018 Singapore

Singapore, 27 June 2018 - Telekomunikasi Indonesia International (Telin), the ICT solutions and international communication business, one of Telkom Indonesia subsidiaries, announced as Project of the Year at the Asia Communication Awards (ACA) 2018 in Singapore. The ceremony took place on 27thJune 2017 in Conrad Centennial, Singapore and was received by Telin Chief Financial and Business Partner Officer, Leonardus Wahyu Wasono.

 

Hosted by Total Telecom, one of the biggest international telecommunication media and publisher, ACA 2018 was the 8thconsecutive prestige award event attended by more than 300 decision makers from Asian telecommunication industry and service provider to recognizes the companies and individuals driving the success of Asian-based telecom industry to a global audience.

 

The award presentation is conducted independently by a panel of telecommunication analyst and industry experts to select the winner in 19 categories. This year, Telin has the privileges to received 2 nominations – The Wholesale Operator of The Year and Project of The Year.

 

The Project of the Year award is exclusively to recognized the most significant infrastructure or business transformation project from wholesale operator. Competing with other 4 well-known wholesale operator companies in the world such as KT Corporation, PCCW Global, SK Telecom, and ZTE, Telin was renowned by the involvement project of Southeast Asia – United States (SEA-US), which is integrated to Telkom Group’s Indonesia Global Gateway (IGG) Cable System. The judges said “The SEA-US Cable System, is the most significant project in 2017. This entry is an important project in South East Asia Region”.

 

The SEA-US is a consortium undersea cable system project with approximately length of 14,500 km connecting South East Asia to United States. The consortium investing in the SEA-US cable system project consists of Telin of Indonesia, Globe Telecom of the Philippines, GTA, GTI Corporation, Hawaiian Telcom, and RTI of United States of America.

 

Leonardus expressed his gratitude during the ceremony to the organizers, as well as to all partners and parties who have been providing support to Telin. He added “The project is very important to us, because it’s connecting seamlessly from USA to Europe through IGG Cable System. As a part of the consortium, we are very proud”.

 

This achievement of another prestigious award by Telin is the evidence of the world’s recognition of Telin position as part of Telkom Group in the global telecommunication industry to Enabling Your Global Digital Business and Solution.
