Dubai, 17thSeptember 2018 – Telin’s Chief Technology Officer, Nanang Hendarno became one of the spokespersons for Submarine Networks & Telecom World Middle East 2018 event located in The Ritz Carlton, Dubai International Financial Center, Dubai for three days from September 16-18, 2018. One of Nanang team member, VP Infrastructure and Planning Development Telin Edi Siswanto also attended to be a panelist in an entitled discussion "Wholesale in the Digital Revolution".
The first presentation was delivered on 16thSeptember with topic "The Next Sea-change: Global Reach, Global Touch, Global Enablement", Nanang said that the technology industry trend this time has entered the era of 5G, IoT (Internet of Things) and Industry 4.0. The use of growing rapidly sensors, high-quality images and videos media, automatic moving vehicles are inseparable from a very fast internet connection supported by data center capacity and networks with low latency. Therefore, the Submarine Networks must have high bandwidth, low latency, speed upgrades, reliable with low costs.
Meanwhile on 17thSeptember the second presentation was delivered with the title "Unlocking Cloud Transformation for 5G"with Nanang said that the infrastructure trends would use Virtualization to access networks, so Data Centers needs to be distributed at the local network level.
In both presentations, Nanang explained the ability of Telin and Telkom Group in providing the connectivity from Europe, Asia to the USA through SEAMEWE, SEA-US, SJC, and IGG, and with ownership of NeuCentrIX data centers in Singapore, Hong Kong and Indonesia.
Aside from that, a panel discussion with title "Wholesale in the Digital Revolution" brought Edi as one of its moderators along with a representative from AT Kearney, Orange MEA Advisor, and Head of Sales of Deutsche Telekom discussing the wholesale industry trend, Wholesaler versus OTT, future connectivity and wholesale platforms that are appropriate in the digital era.
